Paragliding

Training Programs

PARAGLIDING is a relatively new form of Hang Gliding. The wing is a steerable parachute launched by running down a hillside. Flight speed and direction are controlled by pulling or releasing tension on hand held control lines. The wings are lightweight gliders which are easily carried in back packs. Paragliding is a very pure and seductive method of personal flight. Flight speeds are slow and turbulence represents specific limitations to safe operation of PARAGLIDERS. Instruction is strictly limited to gentle wind conditions. Industry professionals agree that PARAGLIDERS are the easiest aircraft to become airborne in yet require the greatest amount of judgement and skill to fly safely due to their being held inflated by the air that they fly through.

INTRODUCTORY LESSON
Group (each) - $125.00
Private Lesson - $150.00

Ground School , Set up and Preflight,
Level Ground Training,
Slope Training, Simulation

This is a four hour introduction to PARAGLIDING. Students progress from a one hour classroom presentation to canopy familiarization and launch practice on flat ground. Gradual progress is made until launches result in flight attempts from the grass training slope.

NOVICE PARAGLIDING COURSE - $645.00

This is a comprehensive PARAGLIDING COURSE consisting of five full lessons. This course contains the classroom and flight requirements necessary to acquire the skills toward a novice solo rating. Upon completion students will generally have acquired the basic minimum requirements to understand how and when to fly paragliders as entry level pilots. Completion of the course does not intend to qualify the student as an advanced pilot. Novice training is only the basic understanding of paraglider flight and how to proceed safely as a beginner pilot. A textbook and logbook are included.
