This four hour introductory
course begins with presentation of history, flight
principles and safety considerations relevant to beginning hang
gliding. Students then are suspended in a simulator to become
familiar with weight shift and correct posture. After assisting
in setup and preflight procedures we begin level ground training.
Ground handling instruction evolves into a gradual ascent onto
the training slope. Several attempts at man's oldest dream mark
the end of this very enjoyable beginning of your personal quest
for flight.

WEEKEND INTRODUCTORY LESSON

Level Ground Training, Slope Training, Simulation
This course is for our weekend visitors who want more flight experience. A second day of flight training is added to the introductory lesson. Instruction is aimed at developing safe, correct procedure through repeated flights from the training slope. Proper takeoffs, relaxed flying style, and good stand up landings are the goals for fledgling flyers. This is an eight hour course.
HANG ONE PROGRAM - $645.00
The Hang One Program is a comprehensive entry level Hang Gliding
course. The goal of the course is to prepare students for the
USHGA Novice rating. The course consists of six lessons. Each
lesson is a minimum of four hours. Students will receive a minimum
of eighteen hours ground handling and flying time and six hours
of classroom time. All participating students will receive a
log book and training manual. Progress will be logged for each
individual student . All lessons are reserved in advance. Class
room often will be arranged during periods of non flyable weather
conditions.

THE "COMBO" - $245.00
Tandem Hang Gliding Aero Tow,
And Full Introductory Lesson
This is a great way to fill your first day with a
very rewarding learning experience.
A combined high altitude 25OO' tandem introductory flight lesson - aero towed
up over the Connecticut River valley and a four hour, foot launched,
hill side Hang Gliding introductory lesson. Your instructor
will go over the glider basics and procedures, then once you are
aloft together, let you fly the glider to see and feel the ease of
flying a modern Hang Glider from altitude.
This combined with your hill side lesson, is a very unique way to fully experience
a day of Hang Gliding flight. It will easly allow you to begin your understanding of what it is to launch,
land and fly a Hang Glider.
The tandem portion of the flight is around 20 minutes and can be done
before, during or after the foot launching
lesson that takes place on Morningside's grassy slopes.
The foot launch portion of the "Combo" lesson starts at 9:00 AM,
on the morning of your reservation date.
THE "TANDEM ONLY" - $155.00
Tandem Hang Gliding Aero Tow Introductory Lesson
Same experience as the above without the four hour introductory lesson
but with explainatory "In Flight" instruction and some "Hands On" if conditions permit.
This can be done in conjunction with any of our lesson programs
