Forecast Computer Models are typically run twice a day at 12Z and 00Z.   Each model creates an "Initial Analysis Map" and then generates a series of forecast maps at set intervals out to a number of days into the future.

12Z = 8:00am EDT (7:00am EST) 00Z = 8:00pm EDT (7:00pm EST) = Midnight GMT -- Here, the date on the maps will be the next day

Our Z Time Calculator (below) should eliminate the confusion of "Z" Time.
